Support Volunteers For The One to One Employment Project

The volunteer must work all the times in accordance with choice Support Group's core
purpose which is; To enable the people who have a learning disability to lead their own life
and to offer services which ensure dignity, presence in the community, choices and skills
and to achieve this by working in the partnership with people with learning disabilities,
statutory agencies, volutary orgainisations and others.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provoide support to people with learning disability and possibly other impairments.
To support a service user to and from a placement and offer basic skills training about being in the workplace.
To adhere to a service user's agreed care plan (where applicable) and liaise with the service users staff team on any issue affecting his/her support needs.
To encourage the service user to participate in the volunteer work placement to the best of his/her ability and ensure they arrive on time for their placement.
To act as as a positive role model for people with learning disability and to the general public as a representative of the service.
To report immediately to the project co ordinator any incident, suspicion, or sign of physical verbal , mental ,sexual and financial abuse of a service user.
Record Keepng Procedure:
To maintain confidentiality in relation to information about the user and staff.
To keep all receipts relating to volunteer expenses including the service user's receipts and ensure that they are handed to the project co-ordinator.
General:
To provide regular feed back on the progree of volunteer placement.
To report any concern regarding the service user or the placement to the project co-ordinator
To undertake training as required to meet the need sof service user (as directed).
This role description may be subject to review and change in consultation with the volunteer.

"Spreading the word" about the work that Hearing Dogs for Deaf people undertakes is important if we are to raise the profile of the charity. To this end we have a list of people nationwide who go out and address groups such as WI'S, schools, brownies, scouts and other organisations. We provide training, projectors, slides and a script.

The Pepper Foundation exists to fund the Pepper Paediatric Nursing Team throughout the Chilterns. The Pepper Foundation has its office based with the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home in Tring and is looking for an Admin Assistant for 2 half days a week. The role will provide administrative support with particular responsibility for recording and acknowledging donations, and maintaining the Pepper database.

materials in place. Most tasks will be simple but require confidence, skills and knowledge
of drilling/fixing.
1) Basic maintenance tasks: DIY/Shelving/Cupboards etc.

3) Liaising with other volunteers who will provide articles/pages for the site.
4) Maintaining the site so that there will be fresh information.
